Joanna London Print Decorated Ceramics offers a bespoke design service that provides customers with the opportunity to commission their own design for any individual piece or for a complete dinner service.
Wall hung plates, breakfast sets and mugs make unusual personalised gifts for any special occasion. A unique bespoke dinner service is a very special and personal home or wedding gift.
My designs evolve from drawings, paintings, collage, textile work, other scanned materials and digital photography. Images are scanned or downloaded into the computer and then manipulated using graphics programs to create designs which are applied to tableware through the use of printed decal transfers.
Some customers may like to use their own designs or photographs and handwritten or printed personal messages can also be translated into decal transfers for application to the china. All china is fine bone china decorated with decal transfers that are fired into the glaze. The product is dishwasher and microwave proof.
Each commission requires thorough planning, normally undertaken via online discussion with the creation of mock up images as required. Customers can be sent instructions on preparing a design brief which will help in the understanding of their requirements.
The cost of the bespoke service varies depending on the type of design work undertaken and the design time required. Therefore quotes are prepared in relation to each individual order. Design time is charged at £25.00/hr inclusive of VAT.
Payment of a deposit (50% of the order value) is required before the design work can be undertaken. Designs proofs are prepared for review and discussion and the final design then agreed for production. The balance of the order is due before production of the product. Delivery schedules are prepared with each order.
