We have just acquired some lovely white china teaspoons and some other small pieces to generate a small pieces gift range, at present we have eggs and baubles to decorate as well as the teaspoons.

All of these are looking good but I am especially keen on the little china teaspoons, so cute.  The eggs will be lovely for easter, they will hold a small chocolate egg or other surprise and will be an elegant easter gift.

Now to decide the decoration - my task for this week and probably next week as well as it's half term this week and so all design work goes a bit slow mo with the kids off school !

At the screen printing studio I have been working on some small 'doodle' patterns and I may use these.  Also I would like to create something fresh and spring like as the daffodils in the garden are beginning to take shape and the catkins are out, all hopeful for the imminent arrival of spring !

I have joined a print studio and am once again screen printing, creating design for digital reproduction is exciting and ultimately versatile but there is nothing quite like getting your hands dirty.

Preparing the positive and mixing the ink and then the first print, it's all coming back and more plus plenty of new stuff to learn.  I am starting with three doodle designs, doodles on mass creating pattern, what I can do with these seems pretty endless at the moment so there could be a whole exhibition in the offing !!, we will see if they live up to my expectations and if they will translate to my china or stay on the wall.
