Yesterday I attended the Hidden Art Forum at the UBS Bank, Finsbury Avenue.

A good venue and an excellent forum with some great advice and direction and useful sign posting to helpful web tools etc.

Hidden Art operate as a social enterprise to support artists and designers in London, the South West and all of the UK and whenever I have been involved with them I have been very impressed.

Getting involved in these types of events is of course a good way of networking with the design community and it was nice to see two graduates from Surface Design LCC 2006 there ! They are involved with pattern for textiles, one with accessories and the other with bed linen.

My new 'digi' plate designs have received some very positive feedback on our Facebook page.  If you have any comments to make on our designs, the website or the blog entries please feel free to comment on the Blog page, use the Guestbook page to make an entry or contact us at info@joannalondon.com

Yes it's open studios and I am open !

Started yesterday and so far a good response, if you are local hope you are coming along too!

See the events page for the details of my opening hours.

It's been a while since I last blogged, yes been busy with work, family stuff and holidays and the blog dropped off my radar for a bit.

We spent a lovely week in Tunisia enjoying the beach, sun, culture and very friendly people.  Also there is a high number of extremely good looking men in Tunisia, something my husband was not oblivious to either or was it just me pointing it out ?

Anyway the studio is looking very neat and shiny at the moment and I am really pleased with my experiments for 'digi plates'.

Did I mention these before ?  Layering and movement of pattern achieved in graphics programmes and of the genre of digi prints swamping the fashion world.  Saw a dress with wonderful print by the late great Alexander McQueen and thought must get back to doing some of that as it is so much fun and can be really inventive.

What do you think of the experiments so far ?  All the digi plate experiments are on my 'Recent Experiments Page'.
