Really enjoying this summer weather, what a difference it makes to everyone, a smile comes more readily and it seems to me that the world is a more sociable place.

Lots of sport on the telly to enjoy as well, I won't mention the football but the tennis at Wimbledon was good and not one drop of rain this year !  My son had his sports day as well and great fun was had by all, the winners and the losers !

This sunday we invited a few lovely friends over and had the neccessary BBQ and Pimms which was delicious and enjoyed our garden which is looking flowery, all the rain water in the butt has gone now though so we are having to use some tap water.

And what of work ?  well I am delighted to be producing some pieces for wedding lists and we have had several enquiries, if wedding china is something you are interested in I am very happy to offer an appointment or to provide a sample of china so that the quality can be seen, do get in touch.

The feedback from the digi plates has been excellent and I am working on taking the 'swirl' design into the full range with cups and saucers, mugs etc in this design.  I am loading the photos of plates to the web shop so these will be available to order on the site from today. I welcome all feedback on new designs so let me know what you think, either here, by contacting us or by using the guestbook to make comments.

Yesterday I attended the Hidden Art Forum at the UBS Bank, Finsbury Avenue.

A good venue and an excellent forum with some great advice and direction and useful sign posting to helpful web tools etc.

Hidden Art operate as a social enterprise to support artists and designers in London, the South West and all of the UK and whenever I have been involved with them I have been very impressed.

Getting involved in these types of events is of course a good way of networking with the design community and it was nice to see two graduates from Surface Design LCC 2006 there ! They are involved with pattern for textiles, one with accessories and the other with bed linen.

My new 'digi' plate designs have received some very positive feedback on our Facebook page.  If you have any comments to make on our designs, the website or the blog entries please feel free to comment on the Blog page, use the Guestbook page to make an entry or contact us at info@joannalondon.com
